It's not on sale it's on clearance, anything that ends with the 7 is clearance, so they won't be stocking it any more

Ok... Changed to read "Clearance". Good deal in any case.

How does the quality feel? Smooth opening and closing drawers? Does it feel cheap?

Pretty well built in my humble opinion, easy assembly and somewhere to store my tools. This guy describes my thoughts exactly--->

my review the Kirkland Costco tool chest and the short of it is I freaking love this thing it is great for how much you get and the price there's a lot of tool chests out there and a lot of them are pretty shoddy the ball-bearing drawers don't work well or just flimsy or you know if you didn't like snap-on Matco stuff like that it's really expensive for stuff so if you're not an everyday mechanic and you just want something to store your personal tools that you use on maybe a semi frequent basis this is a pretty good option there's no assembly we literally got it in two boxes from Costco you put the top on the bottom and you put the handles in it's good to go the wheels were installed the droll drawers were in and they all come with the sticky mat there so your tools don't slide and everything opens really easy the top opens really well it stays up we've had it for a little over a year now and it has been flawless a lot of the drawers hold quite a bit of stuff I mean it's a couple different socket sets in there and a bunch of stuff and it does great some of the stuff on the bottom actually holds quite a bit so like that's got a a circus aw and a sawzall in it and it holds it fine doesn't budge or anything like that drawers are super easy to open there's just a little lever right there on them that you open and plenty of space in there I haven't even filled the whole thing yet and stickers I put on myself so they don't come with that all you get is the kirkland badging but the wheels work well they turn it's easy to maneuver and stuff you can push it around however you want not that not that hard even when it's loaded and the wheels lock so that's good so then just Park it in one place and I think we paid 600 bucks after tax with it and it's honestly worth it if you need something that's this size and but you're not going to be using it on a daily basis it might actually work for daily use I don't know I haven't tried but for the homeowner it does pretty good and you can fit a lot the drawers are deep like that one that's a whole bunch of stuff and there's quite a bit of space like I said haven't even filled it all up I have some drawers that are just like car parts because I don't have anywhere else to put them so I don't even have tools for I just put junk in there but all-in-all it's pretty good so get yourself one if you're thinking about it it's definitely worth the money

My wife texted me about this yesterday. A little research shows it has been in stock and then on clearance a number of times over the past 5 or more years. It was as low as $299 US at one point.
General thoughts seem to be it's good quality for the cost versus something from canadian tire, but really best for homeowners. Don't expect it to hold all your heavy duty shop tools. They say you can press down in the middle of the drawers and see the rails flex.
I'm leaning towards getting one for my garage. If I remember correctly, it totals around 400 pounds.

Ask to speak to manager about buying demo unit. I got another $100 off on 299,97 tool chest few years back. Pointed out few tiny scratches and missing manual. Usually after they sell out all the boxed units - they are desperate to get rid of the assembled unit and utilize floor space for something else.
